Chester Lees is a multi-faceted artist, educator and motivational speaker who operates out of her studio in north west Calgary.
A gifted artist and teacher, Chester conducts workshops for the Epcor Centre for the Performig Arts, Telus World of Science - Creative Kids museum, and Glenbow Museum.
A member of the CAPES (Calgary Arts Partnership in Education Society) since 1997, Chester has conducted many art residencies in over 30 Calgary Board of Education and Charter Schools. Chester continues to offer residencies in which a wide range of media are used for teaching core curriculum subjects. Art integration is a passion for Chester!
Chester has completed a several large murals for C.B.E. schools as well as corporate offices. She is always ready to discuss mural commissions with schools and business corporations.
Chester also offers corporate team building workshops and retreats involving art projects that any individual member of a team can complete. Her ability to draw a team together in a common aim provides a strong team-building experience. Each project is tailored for the team by consultation with the team leaders. She has led many team building workshops through Epcor Centre for the Performing Arts and for seven years led art retreats at the King’s Fold Retreat Centre in Cochrane. These workshops energise the team and eanable them to return to their workplace able to think more expansively and collaboratively together.
